It’s Playtime: Fun Literacy Play Ideas!

January 19, 2012 by Anna Ranson

Here are some of the wonderfully fun and creative ways for playing with sound and letters that were linked up last week!
Ready Set Read 2 Me had a wonderful idea for creating fairy tale prop baskets to prompt storytelling!
Gratefully Growing in Grace shared a fun alphabet hunt around the house!
Make Do and Friend created a lovely tactile letter book to teach in a multi-sensory way!

If you were featured today please grab an “I proudly encourage play!” button from the sidebar.

It’s Playtime is a collaborative linky hosted by:

 * Anna : The Imagination Tree

* Rachel and Holly : Kids Activities
* Jamie : hands on : as we grow
* Rachele : Messy Kids
* Jenny : Let the Children Play

Link your playful idea at any of these sites and it will appear on all 5!

Please include a text link or a button (in the sidebar) so that others can find the linky easily! Thank You.

    Thank you for hosting. I am a preschool director and I teach Early Childhood Education to high school junior and seniors. I love your blog. There is so much information I can share with my students, of both age groups. I found you on Pinterest. I write a little blog called Suppers, Youngans & Thangs. I post recipes, kids activites, and crafts. Would love to have you visit sometime. I will be following you to see what new ideas you are sharing.
