It’s Playtime: Active Play Ideas!

September 1, 2011 by Anna Ranson

I absolutely loved all of these posts that were linked up last week about getting children active and exercising through playful fun! Click the links to read more.
The Outlaw Mom had plenty of hilarious, active fun with big rolls of bubble wrap!
Let Kids Create has a fun list of 5 ways to let children use up all their energy. How fabulously appealing to all parents!
And here is a great selection of ideas from co-host QuirkyMomma about exercising through play. I love them!

It’s Playtime is a joint link up hosted on the following sites each Thursday:
* Anna : The Imagination Tree
* Rachel : Quirky Momma
* Jamie : hands on : as we grow
* Rachele : Messy Kids
* Jenny : Let the Children Play
Link your idea at any of these sites and it will appear on all 5!
Please include a link back or a button (in the sidebar) so that others can find the linky easily! Thanks.

Please remember not to link to worksheets or printables. By linking up you are giving us permission to use one of your photos and a link to your site if we choose to feature you as a favourite. Be sure to check out the other wonderful ideas and vote for your favourites!

    Wow! Thanks for featuring our Bubble Wrap Fun post! My daughter found my bubble-wrapped diplomas this evening and she and my 15-month old son had a jump and dance fest on it before bedtime! So much fun. Wish I had brought out the video recorder! Hope you and your readers have some fun with any bubble wrap lying around the house before it finds its way into the recycling bin.

    Thanks again – love your blog and all of the great playtime ideas – it’s an honor to be a part of it 🙂

    Hi there, I am battling to link to day… don’t know why but the old linky thinks my link is invalid. So here we are, we built a weather station: http://www.se7en.org.za/2011/08/26/se7en-build-a-weather-station-for-weather-watching…
    Thanks for your fun link-up, always full of inspiration!!!

    Playing with bubble wrap never gets boring..even as an adult there is a satisfaction you get from popping those bubbles 🙂

    Excited to be back for another link-up! This week I’m linking up our rainy day activities! We made toddler-friendly rain sticks, umbrella cookies, and did some “rain drop art”! My little guy had so much fun he’s going to start looking forward to rainy days. Looks like a lot of awesome ideas again this week, I can’t wait to check them all out! My favorite blog hop. 🙂 Thanks for hosting! Have a great day!
