Lollibop Kids’ Festival and a Family Pass Giveaway!

July 5, 2013 by Anna Ranson

Win some tickets to  Lollibop this summer, the UK’s most fabulous festival for kids! With an incredible line up of acts, performances, activities and crafts, this year looks set to be better than ever, and fantastic fun for all under 10 year olds!Win tickets to the 2013 Lollibop Festival
Last year we went to the Lollibop Festival for kids and the girls had a wonderful time (read our review of the excellent 2012 Lollibop Festival here!) There were favourite faces like Mister Maker, stage shows such as the Go Go Go Show and plays such as The Gruffalo (which they loved so much they watched twice!) There were tents filled with fantastic arts and crafts activities, interactive storytelling sessions, play areas and live music and they talked about the fabulous day out for months afterwards.

This year we are thrilled to be official Lollibop Blog Ambassadors, and we can’t wait to report back on our time at the new event with the fantastic line up this year! We’ve had word that not only are Peppa and George coming along, but Justin Fletcher (aka Mr Tumble!) will also be doing a two live shows on the weekend days! My girls are so excited!  There are going to be storytelling events, science experiments, activities for tweens and a fabulous sensory play area for babies and toddlers! The organisers really have thought out every detail so carefully to suit the needs and interests of children (and their carers) so well. IMG_8978
Here are plenty more facts about this year’s LolliBop:
  • LolliBop is the UK’s biggest kids festival, where all activity is aimed at the under 10s.
  • The three-day event takes place from August 16 – 18 at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London.
  • The line-up includes Cbeebies superstar Justin Fletcher (Saturday and Sunday only), Dick and Dom, Skylanders SWAP Force, Shaun The Sheep Championsheeps, Peppa Pig, Science Museum Live, Postman Pat, The Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Transformers, Poppy Cat, Rastamouse (Friday only) and Cloudbabies.
LolliBop, The Big Bash for Little People
LolliBop’s live theatre tent – The Lollipalladiam – showcases performances from pioneering and internationally renowned companies and artists.
Tween Town is especially for older kids, with cool activities like DJ workshops, movie editing and beatboxing masterclasses.
Lolli Stops are situated throughout the festival for 3-10 year olds to get crafty, there’s also a 3ft and under zone for pre-schoolers.
The Enchanted Forest will host reading and stories,  and there’s also a brand new Discovery Zone, Meadows area, Lolli Promenade and much more.

What an amazing looking festival. Please consider us for the tickets. Also love the emails with fun stuff ideas – banking them all for when our baby is old enough! Particularly liked the shaving foam and cotton wool idea and will have to sort a messy table.

This sounds like so much fun, for my son and for us!!! Problem is the cost of tickets is really high, plus travel to London, that I do not know how anyone could afford to go. If we could win that means a great family day out and less impact to our meager finances. Thank you!!!!

I have never been to the lollipop festival and my family would love to go and join in the fun.
I’d just like to say here how amazing this site is, I am always looking on this site for fun activities to try at home and at work.
    Thanks Rebecca

Wow – what an amazing idea a festival especially for children. As we have finally got a beautiful summer it sounds perfect. Love your website, all inspires me to do something more creative with my son and frequently involves us both covered in goo and paint good for both of us.

We went to Lollibop in 2010 & 2011 and thought it was a great event for children. Our daughter is now rising 4 and I think it would be perfect for her age group – especially if Mister Maker will be there!
