It’s Playtime! Snow Play!

January 26, 2012 by Anna Ranson

I wish it was snowing here in the UK, but we haven’t seen a single flake this year! However, it IS snowing in plenty of other places in the world, as proven by the number of wintery snow and ice activities linked up last week! I particularly loved these three snow themed play and art ideas. Enjoy!

Creative Connections for Kids made beautiful paintings with homemade sensory snow paint! Fabulous!

Teaching 2 and 3 Year Olds shared some process driven snow track pictures made by rolling golf balls!

Happy Hooligans made the fun last longer by bringing real snow indoors to create a snowy sensory tub!

If you were featured today please grab an “I proudly encourage play!” button from the sidebar.

It’s Playtime is a collaborative linky hosted by:

 * Anna : The Imagination Tree

* Rachel and Holly : Kids Activities
* Jamie : hands on : as we grow
* Rachele : Messy Kids
* Jenny : Let the Children Play

Link your playful idea at any of these sites and it will appear on all 5!

Please include a text link or a button (in the sidebar) so that others can find the linky easily! Thank You.

    Oh yes! Where’s the snow this year? We’re very desperate for just an inch or two for a day or two…

    BTW – the cut-off of the link titles is making Adventures at Home post say ‘Kid-Friendly Burns’ (rather than ‘Kid-friendly Burns Night party’). It’s making me laugh – but of course it’s not good really. Is there anyway the linky titles could be extended? Or maybe it’s just on mine that there’s a problem? x

    We did something similar to the sensory snow paint earlier this winter. It was great for both our 2-year-old and our 5-year-old!

    I mentioned you for The Versatile Blogger Award here: http://anappleformom.com/2012/01/blog-award-the-versatile-blogger/
