It’s Playtime: Outdoor Play Inspiration!

April 11, 2012 by Anna Ranson

I loved these diverse and fun ideas for outdoor play that were linked up to last week’s It’s Playtime!

Create With Your Hands made an incredible running stream in the garden for fantastic water play!

Adventures at Home with Mum created some wonderful messy fun with an outdoor concoctions kitchen.

Walnut Acre shared some favourite, child-led, outdoor play space ideas!

My Little Happies made a wonderful multi-sensory story retelling of We’re Going on a Bear Hunt outside!

If you were featured today please grab an “I proudly encourage play!” button from the sidebar.

It’s Playtime is a collaborative linky hosted by:

 * Anna : The Imagination Tree
* Rachel and Holly : Kids Activities
* Jamie : hands on : as we grow
* Rachele : Messy Kids
* Jenny : Let the Children Play

Link your playful idea at any of these sites and it will appear on all 5!

Please include a text link or a button (in the sidebar) so that others can find the linky easily! Thank You.

    Hi Anna! I just finished up a much-longer-than-expected full time freelance position at my old company and yesterday was my last day. I’m also due with our third in less than a week so, needless to say, I was having mixed emotions about life in general on my commute home last night. I looked on my blog to find that you featured our Bear Hunt and it immediately lifted my spirits! I have two favorite blogs–yours being one. About a year ago I held a huge sensory play date all inspired by you and your blog (http://mylittlehappies.blogspot.com/2011/07/15-months-dirty-play-dates.html) and have been a close follower/reader of your blog ever since. You have no idea how honored I am to be featured on your blog!! Thank you, thank you!! Please stop by again when you have a chance and thank you for being such an inspiration. Brooke

    Hi Anna, thanks for featuring our running stream, we’re still having lots of fun with it in the garden. Sometimes I wish our garden looked more like a garden and less like a builder’s yard, but then sometimes it’s very useful to have all these bits and pieces on hand to create some playful fun. Am always so inspired by your blog, and feel very honoured to be featured. Hope you’re all enjoying your new little one. Ellie xx
