It’s Playtime! Christmas Sensory Play Activities!

December 22, 2011 by Anna Ranson

These were my favourite activities that were linked up last week, all based on exploring the senses through playful fun! There are a million and one fantastic Christmas crafts around at the moment, which I admit to loving quite a lot, but it’s SO great to be truly engaging little ones at their level through hands-on playing at this time of year too!

Share and Remember linked lots of ideas for creative snow and ice play activities!

We Can Do All Things created a beautiful sensory tub “Iceland” from coloured salt and small world toys!

What’s Fun Today? explored painting on top of the light table! Fantastic idea for combining creativity, exploration and investigation! Not strictly to do with Christmas, but wonderful nonetheless!

If you were featured today please grab an “I proudly encourage play!” button from the sidebar.
It’s Playtime is a collaborative linky hosted by:

* Anna : The Imagination Tree

* Rachel : Kids Activities
* Jamie : hands on : as we grow
* Rachele : Messy Kids
* Jenny : Let the Children Play

Link your idea at any of these sites and it will appear on all 5!

Please include a text link or a button (in the sidebar) so that others can find the linky easily! Thank You.

Next week- December 29th– It’s Playtime will take a Christmas break so we can all get a real rest! We will be back the following week to see all of the wonderful activities you have been busy with over Christmas!
