Have a Party!
Have a spontaneous party for no reason at all! It could be a teddy bear’s picnic with a toy tea set and imaginary food. Invite all your child’s favourite toys, make some invitations, set out the places, turn on the music and enjoy! Or find some left over party plates and napkins and spread them out on the floor (or in the garden) and serve up some real food and drink!
We also made some super quick paper party crowns and decorated them with feathers. You could make decorations, dress up in fancy clothes, turn on some fairy lights, listen to nursery rhymes or stories on CD…the list is endless!
Ask you child what they want their party to be like and go with it! What about inventing some games? Playing pass-the-parcel with a tiny present inside? Dancing and having plenty of jolly good, silly fun 🙂
[Please remember, this is just a play prompt. You are not being asked to replicate any of the ideas exactly from this 30 Day Challenge! We hope to spark an idea for an activity and give an opportunity to try something a bit different each day and the emphasis is very much on having relaxed, good fun and a really engaged play session. Remember to make it uninterrupted– turn off everything for at least 15 minutes!]
Tomorrow hands on: as we grow will have the challenge for day 22!
