I squeezed some paint, one colour at a time, onto a plate. Cakie dipped the whole length of the string into it and pushed it around a little to make sure it piked up lots of paint.
She lifted it out and let it drop onto her paper.

These look particularly fabulous on a large scale, so if you happen to have some warm weather or a large floor space, try doing this with long pieces of string, ribbon or cooked spaghetti over some large sheets of paper, taped together at the back. And don’t worry about the mess 🙂
